It was all too natural to lean into James's embrace and stay there a while. It didn't have to have been a long time since she'd last see him for Lily to be glad to be held, particularly as she hadn't been entirely sure if James would still accept her, baby and all. Not that they'd talked about it, really, but every bit helped to set her mind at ease. Lily shivered in response to the breath on her neck, some of the burden of her weight shifted off of her toes by how very tightly James was holding her.
"Alright there, Potter?" she murmured into his shoulder, fingers brushing through the hair at James's nape. She couldn't help but be concerned. He must be feeling trapped, caught between wanting to be with her and not wanting to be a father. She couldn't really blame him for that either; this wasn't something he'd signed up for, not yet... He hadn't even caused it. "Mind taking a peek for me? Has she got something in her mouth again?"
