WEATHER: Partly cloudy with some afternoon rain. New moon tonight. Temperature ranges from 79-62°F.
EVENTS: Another day with the dome doors shut. While town hall does not want to acknowledge that this is a long term problem, there is talk about allowing the traders to purchase some of the vacant housing. A good number of dome dwellers are in town hall to protest, even though no official statement has been released.
Early in the day, a number of people show up in the ER, complaining about their hearing or an insatiable hunger. Tests show nothing physically wrong with them, so they’re told to come back the next day if the symptoms persist. Those that mention being bitten by a bat the day prior are allowed to stay for observation.
By 9pm that night, at least ten people are dead, apparently from bat bites. An emergency notification is sent out on the radio and comm system, warning dome citizens to avoid the bats at all costs. If bitten, please report to the emergency room immediately.
