Distractions
Who: Zania and Lucas
What: Diner Conversations
When: Night
Where: The diner
Warnings: TBD
Lucas had an eventful night the previous night. Well, that was putting it lightly. He still wasn't certain how to handle everything that had gone on. In truth he just wanted to forget about it all. It was so much easier to just let himself set everything aside and just try to focus on forgetting. Too much was happening all around him and he didn't understand any of it. He barely understood how to get himself back to his place once it was all said and done. Right now, he wanted to forget. He wanted to lose himself in a distraction. Any distraction would do. He ended up at the diner. It was late, but that didn't really matter. Settling into a seat at the counter, he rubbed his face with one hand and let out a little sigh.
He hadn't gotten much sleep the previous night, but there wasn't much he could do about that now. He just had to suck it up and try to push forward. Maybe he'd get some sleep later tonight. Maybe. He wasn't really counting on it. Blood. There'd been so much blood on that girl. God, it was hard to forget.
He heard footsteps nearing him and he glanced up, realizing he wasn't alone. "Evening," he said, flashing a smile and trying to look like he wasn't sleep deprived.
