Things that Didn't Make Sense
Characters: Simon, open Sarah
When: Monday, 4/20, 10:30 AM-ish
Location: around the residential area
It wasn't like Aria came down every day off. She had no set schedule. She didn't always show up. So it wasn't unusual that he hadn't seen her yet that morning. Not ... that unusual, anyway. Still, there was the usual lull in the clinic and he thought he'd text her to say hi. Only, her name wasn't where it was supposed to be. He frowned and opened up the last text he'd had with her and attempted to send something to that only for it to bounce back as user unknown. Unknown. No, she was very known. He knew her. She was here. He tried calling. Tried emailing. Tried everything his phone could do. Nothing. Nada. Zip. So, a glitch. Something wrong with the system. That was all. Because she couldn't be gone. Not his sister. Not his Aria. Heading out of the clinic, he started toward the residential area. First toward the trailers before recalling she'd said she'd moved. So he turned instead to the aopodments only to realize he didn't know which one was hers. He hadn't stopped by. What kind of brother was he?! "Aria!" He called out, pacing back and forth in front of the area. "Aria!" He screamed. He was going to rupture something, scrape his vocal cords raw, and he didn't care. She couldn't be gone. She was there. Moved. Somewhere. She wasn't gone. "You can't have her, you bastard!" He screamed again. At the sky, at the ground. Anyone who knew him would know this wasn't normal for him. Would maybe think he was possessed, but he didn't care. That was his sister, dead or undead or zombie or whatever she was now, she was still his sister. He'd come here for her, would have stayed for her even if he hadn't gotten stuck, and now? Now he was supposed to do this on his own? Red-faced, panting, on the verge of crying, Simon looked around with wide eyes. Where was she? |
