Character Profiles

Just a quick reminder from your friendly neighborhood mods.

Character profiles should be placed on your journal profile page. Please use the version that was decided upon after other writers' comments.

This provides a quick reference source for your scene partners without having to scroll through journal entries in search of the profile.

Thanks so much!

A Quick Note from Dew...

After posting my first Nanette scene, I wanted to make sure we're all on the same page about this.

I am writing a character born and bred of an era when skin color determined a person's worth in the eyes of many. Vain, haughty and certain of these old-world ideals, the character's viewpoints on races and classes are archaic and offensive.

I just want it to be clear that these sort of viewpoints are not my own. I am stepping well outside my own belief system to write a character who is a product of a less enlightened time. I would hope no one would be offended by some of the things my character will think and say.

That being said, I have no plans to ever use any racial slurs and I would hope that writing a character of this mindset won't lead anyone else to do so.

Thanks.

Now, back to your regularly scheduled writing :)

Comment With New Character Apps Here!

Place your application in a new comment. Other writers can reply to your comment with feedback over 2-3 days. If your application is particularly long, you may need to break it into 2 comments or just use the comment to link to a journal profile.

Remember, the point is to give you feedback (pros and cons) on your application. If the cast doesn't voice major concerns, you'll be given access to the communities and can take that as a cue to start writing. However, you're encouraged to spend some time thinking about any feedback you receive and whether it can strengthen your character! :)

Also, please comment on other people's work.
