The Christmas season has begun. As December hits and the snow begins to fall no doubt students are getting anxious with O.W.L's and N.E.W.T's alike. However it is likely that this season will be more somber than before.
Erica and Jordan Preston, twins belonging to the house of Hufflepuff still have not been located. November, started like any other month and the second weekend all of the students traveled to Hogsmeade for a regular weekend trip. The last student to see the brother and sister respectively was Mary MacDonald. 'They were headed to the Shrieking Shack, we thought nothing of it, they both were obsessed with ghost stories.' The young Gryffindor was visibly distressed when giving her statement, she had been close friends with the twins.
While the search continues their parents, both muggles remain suspicious of the wizarding community, although head auror Kingsley Shacklebolt maintains they are doing all they can not only to locate the students but also to keep the peace between our worlds. With the sun beginning to set earlier and earlier darkness is coming and we can only hope that our light will continue to shine.

Top 3 Tips for Parents to Maximize Holiday Budget
1. If your family is active, seek products that are easily portable for kids on the go. You'll get more play value if they can use at home or away. Also ask for proper casing, it can be quite distressing if a child loses their toy when using the Floo network and improper casing can lead to burn damage.
2. Choose products that can be used by a child over several years and will still challenge them as they grow and progress. Items such as brooms, and books are good because they will come in handy many times.
5. Supplement purchased gifts with special coupons for quality time with your child: a trip to the zoo, the beach, a children's museum -any of their favorite places.
