Week Two - Monday

Characters: Zoé and Cass
Location: Mostly Zoé's apartment
Summary: Cass joins Zoé for dinner at her apartment. Zoé fails to get much out of Cass about her background or aspirations, but the pair have a pleasant enough afternoon, and make plans to rendezvous again before reconnecting with the museum group.
Rating: R for restrained and L for low-key.

( It is a strange thing to imagine, to start a community from nothing )

Week One, Saturday

Characters: Alice Munroe and Jed Bailey
Location: Home Depot.
Summary: Alice and Jed go shopping for paint so they can put up signs. They want to set up meetings with any other survivors who may be out there.
Rating: PG a little cussin'.

( Not everyone coming through here's gonna be... y'know. Good people. I don't think I could be responsible over a lot of people. )

Week One: Friday

Characters: Alice Munroe and Jed Bailey
Location: Alice's place, then on the road to the mall.
Summary: Jed brings Alice a walkie-talkie as a replacement for instant communication. What he ends up getting is surprise help to go look for Jack. Some miscommunication almost results in a blow-out between the two of them, and some painful experiences are glossed over.
Rating: R for swearing.

( ''Far as I'm concerned, this is natural selection. Survive or die. If she's stupid enough to go running off after a night of drinking just because you hurt her feelings, then maybe she should just fend for herself. You're wasting fuel and energy just doing this.'' )

Characters: Alice Munroe and Jed Bailey (and Rocky, of course)
Location: Alice's place.
Summary: After Jack and Searle bolt, Jed comes to drown his sorrows on Alice's stoop. Rocky alerts Alice to his presence, and the two talk about the events of the last few days.
Rating: PG for drinking and a little cussin'.

Week One, Wednesday

Characters: Alice Munroe and Cody Davidson
Location: Outside an abandoned apartment building
Summary: While out raiding, Alice finds Cody on his own
Rating: PG-13 for unsettling scenes.


( Cody collapsed onto one hand as he gagged, mouth open wide, expression taut and pained. Water came back up again, and though he tried to stop the inevitable, he gagged and heaved, the liquid he'd needed so desperately dribbling down onto the floor. Alice cringed in sympathy, though the cringe turned into an expression of swallowing back her own gag reflex as the white dog immediately rushed to the water on the floor and began to lap it up. )

( If she wanted to see what the big deal about drinking was, she would. Jack knocked on Searle's door and inside the bag she was holding with her free hand, something clinked. )
