Lindsay wrinkled her face, having no idea why this guy -- was he a stripper? -- was asking her about her boyfriend's truck. She clamped her hand onto Davina's thigh to keep from toppling over and looked at Price suspiciously.
"No, it's brand-new," Lindsay told Price, a snotty undertone to her voice. "It's sooo sexy... Not like that old, ugly one... ew," she went on, making a face. Davina rolled her eyes and tried to hold back her giggles -- though, Lindsay was so drunk, she'd probably think that she made a joke and Davina was laughing with her.
"Which... he sold to his grandpa," Davina added, shooting a knowing smirk at Price. Lindsay nodded eagerly in agreement and grabbed Davina's hand.
"Come on, dance!" she pleaded, tugging on Davina's hand, who was actually reluctant to get up and dance with her girlfriends. She found herself wanting to stay with Price, catching up and being near to him again. Even though she was engaged and so in love with Jay, she missed Price.
"I... guess I better," Davina said, almost apologetically, to Price. "Uhm... it was really nice to see you again," she told him, inwardly cringing at the formality of her words. "And... congrats on the..." she trailed off, tapping her own ring finger.
