Davina continued to laugh -- and the laugh only got louder as Lindsay McManus stumbled over to the bar and wrapped her arms around Davina, snuggling into her hair. The timing was impeccable.
"I love you," she murmured into Davina's hair, paying no attention to Price -- Lindsay was just drunk and loving her close friend. Davina reached over and took Lindsay's hands, pulling her to her side.
"Price... meet Lindsay. Alex's girlfriend," Davina introduced, giggling over the ironical turn of the conversation.
Lindsay blinked a few times and stared at Price. She and Davina hadn't been friends in high school, so Lindsay didn't know the whole story behind Price -- just whatever Davina or Madeline told her and, since Davina stuck to boring facts and Madeline did the opposite, no one really knew how strong Davina's feelings once were for Price. "Why're you talking about... my Alex?" Lindsay wanted to know, frowning slightly. "You should be dancing with me!" she added in a whiny voice.
