"Oh, God!" Davina threw her head back as she burst out laughing, remembering when she even had her grandfather convinced that Price was gay. It was all a defense mechanism -- she couldn't stand the fact that someone she wanted didn't want her back -- but luckily she'd been wrong. Luckily for Dawn, that is.
"So... still in California, huh?" Davina asked once the laughter had died down. She remembered being so insanely in love with him that she stole her mother's credit card to fly three thousand miles to see him. She wanted to stay, and she nearly did. And, as she sat beside Price, laughing about days gone by, she wondered what would have happened if she had.
You wouldn't have Jay, she reminded herself. She smiled slightly. Jay was her perfect match, the one she was destined to be with. Her parents loved him, all her friends loved him, and -- most of all -- she loved him. She couldn't ask for anything better.
