Davina echoed his laugh. "Legal... yeah," she agreed. "Finally!" She laughed again. "Seems like it took forever to... grow up," she mused quietly, though a strange part of her was suddenly wishing they weren't grown up, that they could still be in high school again.
"I've... well, I live in Stamford now," Davina answered, beginning the standard biography given to anyone from her past who inquired about her present. "With, um... Jay. Marsden," she added, vaguely thinking that Price knew Jay and feeling extraordinary guilty that she wasn't buzzing with the excitement she usually was when she talked about Jay. "I actually work in a law office," she continued with a slight chuckle. "Probably never expected that one, huh? Me... an office... It's actually not as boring as I once thought," she told him, excluding the part about working for Jay's dad.
"What about you?" she asked. "Who's your future Missus?" she quizzed, hoping any ounce of jealousy she was feeling --which was none...-- wasn't evident in her voice.
