"Aunt Ashwey!" Novelia called out, jumping off the couch and straight out the hallway, where she settled on the floor, hugging Ashley's leg. The girl didn't care much about Ashley's often rejectful behavior, she merely loved her. Besides, the violence Novelia had seen every day in her home had made her alot less susceptible to emotional hurt.
Katie got up and entered the hallway, scooping up her daughter from the floor. You never knew whether Ashley would feel like being bombarded by an almoust three year old child. Even though Novelia was pretty quiet and gentle.
"Hey girl" she greeted her guest, immediately looking at Ashley's belly, that never seemed to grow. And Katie herself had some news regarding growing bellies, some news that not even her sister Ayla was aware of. She had decided to wait until the first trimester was over, because she didn't want to feel like a complete failure for misscarrying Alex's baby. She knew she wouldn't live through that. Luckily she had been in New York a lot, and been able to hide the symptoms. Unlike Ashley, she had already gained some weight, she didn't know why but she suspected she ate more than her friend.
