Since she'd moved back to town, Ashley had been wanting to spend more and more time with Katie. She didn't ever think she was being annoying-- her mind didn't work how other's might-- but to anyone else, her continuous calling with questions regarding her pregnancy might get old fast. But no one knew what Ashley was dealing with better than Katie herself. Dealing with the pressure to eat and be a quote-unquote healthy weight for the baby she already loved so much was the hardest thing she'd ever done-- and if she didn't already have so much love in her heart for her little bean, she easily would have given up.
She parked her car in Katie's driveway and climbed out, feeling like a huge whale as her stomach bumped against the steering wheel. She wasn't-- for being twenty four weeks pregnant, she was still extremely tiny, a fact that bothered both Jack and her doctor-- despite her doctor telling her the baby was developing just fine. Everyone wanted her to be a disgusting blog, just because she was pregnant. As long as the baby was fine, Ashley saw absolutely no need to sit on the couch stuffing her face with chips.
She knocked once on the door before opening it and stepping inside. "Hi," she spoke out, her voice the same deadpan tone it always had been.
