"Everyone's been hoping for this," Allie mumbled, propping her elbows on the counter. Growing up on a farm, the sticky counters of the bar didn't bother her in the slightest. If she was going to die of malaria or H1N1 or whatever else, she probably would have already.
"My dad wouldn't even talk to me after... Beau," she added, casually tapping at her left ring finger. Saying the words 'Beau' and 'marry' in the same sentence was nearly enough for her to lose her cookies all over the bar. "I'm... the only girl, so... yeah. He... wasn't impressed. No one was. I didn't really talk to my family, like... at all. Fuckin' Beau," she stated, wondering if Ryan really was happy that her marriage collapsed -- if he even knew. She hadn't even seen Troy since she'd been back, and had no idea if the two of them even hung out anymore. Probably not, she decided, since nothing seemed to be the same anymore.
