Allie shook her head slowly. "Nah, I cut myself off," she answered with a shrug. "I'm sure hearing some stranger's sob story is the last thing you want to do," she added. Noticing his friendly smile, however, she wondered if he actually did. She didn't talk about it much -- or, really, at all. Nobody wanted to hear someone complain about making a stupid decision when they were told it was a stupid decision years ago. But this guy didn't know Beau and he didn't know Ryan. She might actually be able to talk and not get frustrated by all the scoffs and snickers emitted by her so-called understanding family.
"I'm Allie, by the way," she added after a moment, deciding if she was going to lay all her dirty laundry on the filthy bar counter for some stranger to judge her on, he might as well know her name.
