"He's a really nice guy," Mallory protested automatically. "He loves me." I guess. "And I love him."

"Ughh," Mallory groaned aloud without trying to. She tossed the phone a couple of feet on the couch.
Maybe if I ignore him he'll just stop texting.
All of a sudden, Mallory thought of Benson. She really missed him sometimes, like now, when she thought of how they'd been, compared to her relationship with Brian. He wouldn't text her every ten seconds just to make sure she wasn't cheating on him - as if she would ever cheat - or yell at her when things didn't go his way. Benson was ten times a better man than Brian, and she knew that, though she'd never admit it.
"He means well," she finally mumbled, glancing down.
