He rolled his eyes again, but this time fondly. "She doesn't think so because she doesn't think that the guys care enough to get their hearts broken--or something. Don't listen to me, though, that's just one semester of Child Psychology talking," he laughed.
Benson looked down at his shopping cart and, seeing all the beer, remembered what he was there to do. "Oh, hey, do you have any plans on Saturday night?" he asked. Then, realizing that it sounded as if he was asking her out, he rushed to add, "I'm having a party at my place--inviting everyone from our Senior class and all. You should come by and see people. Elise will be there and you can ask her all about Garrett yourself. Heck, he could even turn up there and we could see some drama. I mean, he's Mad's cousin after all."
