Anthony reached out and put his hand on Lavender's knee. He was feeling quite affectionate as well, but they had a busy day ahead of them. Maybe if he was lucky, he could steal her away for a few minutes in between visits. He heard mistletoe was good for that sort of thing.
Either way, he had decided to wait until after dinner with his parents before he presented Lavender with the gift that he had purchased (with assistance from Padma, of course). It had been a challenging affair, given the length of their relationship. Long enough to get her something better than a book or a jumper, but not long enough to give her something that would certainly make the gossip column of Witch Weekly. Hopefully, he found something right in the middle.
Anthony turned his attention back to Mrs. Brown. "These really are delicious biscuits, Mrs. Brown. A perfect ending to the fantastic lunch you put together. I'm afraid I might be disappointing my own mother by showing up tonight with a full stomach," he chuckled. "But I just couldn't help myself."
