Lee and Padma
To say Padma was more relaxed at the second party of the weekend would be an understatement. There was little to no risk she'd run in to George, so that was enough to leave her mind at ease. She'd chosen attire that was a bit more natural and comfortable for her this time around, wearing a saree from her recent trip to India and a matching silver and red mask she'd purchased specifically for this occasion. She had no idea why Lee was so intent on going to the Ministry's Masquerade, but far be it from Padma to decline more time with her mate apart from his other half, her ex-boyfriend. Even though his lovesick rants about Leanne did manage to prick at the huge void in Padma's love life as of late, she was certain she could tolerate it without the added weight of seeing George prancing around with his new lady friend. Needless to say anything Pansy had said about the Ministry and Padma's ex was far from her mind at that given moment. She'd abandoned their conversation on the journals for the sake of keeping the peace between them. That and she could hardly defend George's actions without looking a right fool. That wasn't her place anymore.
"Try to keep up, Lee," she teased, crossing her arms over her torso as she switched gears and headed back to their former conversation. "I was just saying how vastly different your party was compared to this. Anytime you can get Parvati partnered with Lee Jordan, you're due for the best party of the century," she mused proudly, giving a look back up to Lee to try to gauge his reaction. "Are you all right there? Can I get you a drink or something?"
