Re: Pansy/Zacharias
"Here I was hoping she had decided to soften up to me during my absence." He was turning it into more of a joke than Zacharias had originally intended. He did not know the older Parkinson woman well, however he supposed he should have known better than to make such a ridiculous comment.
Even if the Smith family attended Pureblood functions they were rarely accepted because of the Muggle blood that had been introduced just years before.
He chuckled along with Pansy, and rather more at her remark then his own. "At least you'll always know when Laurel wants to play." He said, wishing in a sort of absent-minded way that Pansy would drop her questioning yet he knew he should just give that up as a bad job and answer her until she was satisfied. After all, it was Pansy.
Zacharias waited though, until she was done answering his question and gave a slight nod of his head to show he understood. "Well, I hope I get to see the little bugger before you have to go."
Looking at his long-time friend, Zacharias let out a slight sigh, and gently shifted the small child in his arms. If he ignored her questions for too long she would likely end up cursing him.
"With leaving the Magpies, and just..." Something told him saying drinking would not sit too well with Pasny, however it was the truth. "I honestly was a bit too drunk to care about much else and I didn't even check who the letters were from, Pansy."
He shrugged slightly.
"I wasn't purposefully ignoring you, I just did that to anyone that owled me."
