Hi everyone! For those that don't me, I'm Christine Chapel and I'm a nurse practitioner in Medical. I'm also the mother of an eighteen month old and I'm still trying to navigate my way through motherhood. I've noticed that there are several of us who have young children and I thought it would be a good idea to start a monthly Mother's group for those of us with kids five and younger although anyone is welcome to show up. Child care will be open for the younger kids while we're meeting.

I know I have questions and I'd love to talk to someone who's been there. I'm sure some of you have questions too and hopefully someone can answer them. As a nurse I can also answer any medical questions you might have and if I can't, I will find someone who can.

We're going to meet on the fifteenth of every month in Room 203B at five o'clock. It seemed like the best time since most of us are off work by then and we can get the kiddos home and in bed before too late. It's informal, just a way of getting together and getting to know each other.

I understand that a great many of us come from alternate realities and time periods which rotate on the axis of events and people who shaped and are currently shaping the world to come. We all have our concerns and shortfalls and joys.

MENTAL HEALTH DEPARTMENT:

Let's try again My name's Peeta Mellark. I had talked to some people in this department before, but they keep disappearing. [...] I've been trying to handle things myself, based on what my therapist at home taught me, but it'd be stupid of me to think that I can do this alone.

It was fun making smaller clothes. If you don't need them anymore, we'll take them back and use the cloth for something else.

It would be nice to have more children underfoot. But not people who are meant to be adults.

New year, new semester, new classes. At least that's how it's supposed to work, but we've lost a few doctors this month, and that's left me a little short-handed. And busy. I don't think I'll sleep again until June.

If there's anyone with a background in science and/or medicine who'd be willing to pass on their knowledge to others, let me know. I know our population's changed a lot lately, which is all the more reason to make sure we teach other people what we know, so that everyone's in good shape. I could always use the help with teaching, since I'm juggling this and my day job. Dr. Crusher was leading seminars on women's health and maternal/newborn care, for example, and I could use someone to teach biology. Or triage. Or whatever else you want to pass on. Let me know.

And if anyone wants to learn, enrollment starts now. We'll go over your prior knowledge so we don't force you to sit through things you already know. We'll get going again in February.

Is there a group for those who like to knit? Because while I don't mind knitting alone, it is more fun to do it with others and share stories. I'm happy to teach anyone who wants to learn as well.


Also, my roommate and I are in search of paints of pigments. We might be able ot make our own, but I thought I would check to see if anyone had any they were willing to share first.

A resolution is like a wish you can make true yourself, which makes it better than a wish, I think. I can't make resolutions for anyone else, but there's the good in each thing—— I can make wishes for other people, even if I can't make them come true. And I think wishes are best used if you scatter them like seeds, so here are a few: I hope someone will see the person they've been missing the most, I hope someone reads a book that makes them smile, and I hope someone who's been trying to whistle their whole lives will finally learn how to.

Lights and silver - tinsel they call it? I think I'm beginning to get a picture of what this Christmas situation looks like.

I'm not normally one for strong language, but based on the rumours starting to fly-- bloody hell, what a disaster.

I won't be surprised if we get pestered to say what verdict we would have rendered had the trial come to a natural completion. I'm inclined to stay tight-lipped quiet on that regardless of whether we're given permission to speak on it.

So, I was reminded before about this stupid work thing I had to go to back home. You know, the shared outdoors experiance thing? Anyway they were ridiculous and asked all these team bonding questions about what color we thought our hearts were and a song that moved us or whatever.

But one thing they did ask was that if we identified as an animal what would it be and why?

I was a stray cat. Because many reasons each more emo than the last. Ultimately though at the time I kind of felt like the kitten that got less cute and no one wanted anymore. So the grumpy wandering angry little stray made a bunch of sense at the time. And it was stupid but it actually did make me think.

And considering I missed speed dating. Call this the Millie Hagan freaky weird getting to know you party.
