Machinery's not really a thing in Thedas, right? It was a matter of time before the bigger systems started breaking down with how many people are here. They break, we fix 'em, maintenance stays in the job. With the extra Sky People and us coming in, we'd probably outnumber the natives if they were still around. All this stuff is pretty old, too. We'd have to replace parts of it eventually no matter what.
