Peggy | Grant
You're perfectly happy to tell me exactly what I think at every damn turn and it's rather maddening. I can only suppose you do that with everyone else, since you tortured an Agent of SHIELD on hearsay.
You don't know me, but I've seen hundreds of agents like you. Those who cannot divorce themselves from the feeling that the world owes them something.
What's holding you back: you shot the woman who loved you, and your reaction is to lash out uncontrollably, as if causing more harm to those who loved you and knew you once will make you feel less guilt-sodden. Because all I hear is that you believe you still have the entire world figured out - how they'll react, how you'll be ostracised, what you'll do because you expect apology.
That isn't catharsis. It's another sort of emotional manipulation and internal torture. It's another way to squeeze the pain out from them. And you think it will help. That's the joke of it all.
It won't, Grant Ward. It will give you a splitting headache and no one to pull you out of the abyss you're traipsing the edge of.
