Martha / Jacob
It did feel a bit mad, sometimes. Like when I was kidnapped at gunpoint so that a few motorists could have a third person to make it into the carpool lane, and it turned out the carpool lane was full of giant crab aliens that wanted to eat us. Well... whenever it seemed like I was about to die on a strange planet or in an entirely different time, and I realized how reckless it all was. Especially when the Doctor wasn't around, but I learned to trust him to save me. He always came through.
No, he's a Time Lord. The Doctor is just his name, but [...] he fixes people. Fixes whole worlds. I think he's earned the title. There are three versions of him here, but it sounds like you haven't met him yet.
I actually haven't read much at all. I haven't been here very long, and they put me to work right away. Are the Templars the same as the Knights Templar? It's only that I thought they were much earlier than your time, during the Crusades. But I've never studied them in any depth - or gone back in time to meet them either, for that matter. Did you actually assassinate and blow up
It sounds like a good purpose, trying to help and protect people. I don't think that being here makes that any less. Although I can see how this place might make you feel a bit directionless, without being able to do quite the same thing. What sort of job do you have here, when you're not volunteering for missions like ours?
Skipping 143 years or so isn't really the strange part. I've been to a lot of places, but never outside my own universe. The Doctor fixed my phone so that I could call my family from anywhere and any time in our universe, but it doesn't work here. I'm farther from home than I've ever been, and [...] I'm not entirely happy about it, if we're being honest. I miss my family a lot.
