I do. What can I assist you with?

I'm not sure.

I made so many mistakes with Anakin. How does one come to terms with this kind of failure? The legacy we left behind is -- it is not what I wanted for any of us.

I know. I questioned myself in such the same way. The only conclusion that I came too is that I could prevent what happened, that it had to happen in the long run, even if it hurt us in the process.

From what I know, there was no way you could have known what Senator Palpatine was doing? From what I have learned there was no way you could have.

In terms of the prophecy, it might have come about in a different way but it did happen. For how could there have been balance in the Force when there was so many Jedi and so few Sith? As much as it disturbs me I do think the 'light' vs 'dark' side of the Force is what ends up ruining us. Instead it should be good vs bad. What you use the Force for instead of how you use it. While bad and hate are closely linked, it might not have to be.

He might have killed all those children, it hurts to think about. Yes it might seem as if we failed him and he betrayed us, in many ways he did but Palpatine manipulated him and used him to reach his own goals.

In the end, it turned out alright though. Look what Luke did. That is something to be proud of. If Anakin hadn't done what he did then Palpatine would have found someone else to use to meet his own ends and it could have been worse.

I should have known what the senator was doing. We all should have. How could we have been so blind? The galaxies were depending on us to protect them. It is our job to know.

Did you know that was what the prophecy truly meant? That I would be the one to lead the way for him? That he would lead us to destruction? That he would murder innocent children in the name of balance? There has been no balance, for all the prophecy claimed it would bring to us. There is another

It is not a question of might, Master. He did kill the younglings. He did betray us. We did fail him. Manipulated or not, these are all things that happened.

There is no balance, even still. The Jedi no longer exist in our future. We have become myth and legend, while the galaxies fall further into chaos.

From what I've learned, Palpatine was incredibly powerful. Enough to fool even Master Yoda. You cannot be hold responsible for failing to see that. No one saw it.

I didn't. I truly thought he would do good but then have prophecy's ever been clear? You did your best, all of you did.

There will be though. Luke, Mara, Leia and their children. They're all Jedi.

We should hold ourselves accountable, or how will we learn to do better in the future?

In one universe, perhaps there will be. But there is another, one in which what I said stands true. In the one Rey is from, the one Maz Kanata is from - Luke was no longer training a new generation, and he left. Many people no longer believe in our existence, or in the Force.

That is true but at the same time if we hold ourselves accountable for everything that goes wrong it will overwhelm us.

Do I need to remind you of what I did after Xanatos?

That... I do not know what I think of that. Still we have the opportunity here to do some good and perhaps, if they remember their time here, it will make a difference when they return home.

I remember. But if we fail to accept our responsibilities and our failures, we are doomed. I failed Anakin, and he betrayed me. Both of those can be true. Had I been a better master, had I seen and understood what was happening, I could have stopped him before he went too far.

Is it certain that we remember our time here? Many people have knowledge of the future of their worlds, and yet, the future remains constant. If I return to our dimension, wouldn't I then attempt to stop the Chancellor and Anakin? Knowing what is to come, wouldn't I?

Yes he betrayed us but he chose to do so. Looking back honestly, what signs did you see that indicated what he was going to do?

Honestly, I do not know. It would be nice to think about though.

Looking back, I can see his turmoil. I can see his anger, his impatience, his frustration. I can see how he felt as though the Council did not trust him.

Because you know but you said you saw nothing at the time and I know how skilled you are at picking up things.

I sensed his confusion, but I saw nothing definitive to tell me specifically when the Chancellor got his hold on Anakin. But I knew he was troubled by many different things. I did not take it as seriously as I should have.

I think that is understandable. As much as we often pretend not to be above things we are human and can be blinded by that, seconding guessing ourselves.
