Welcome to the first ever Jaha Secret Santa! Kara hosted the gathering in the Library, and made it a cozy, decorated area ahead of time. A tree that she decorated herself, along with tinsel, lights everywhere, mistletoe, poinsettias and all the other decorations the PodGod was nice enough to drop off.

The gathering started at 7pm, and went as late as people wanted to stay. There were snacks courtesy of the mess, and apple cider that's.... not great, but hey, hot apple cider!

Kili has MALIA for Secret Santa! He made her a pair of engraved daggers. They're very intricate, but definitely not meant to be only decorative because he's a dwarf and he's also very practical and would like for these to be actually used (and weapons are useful in a place like this, even if she has... claws... whatever, he's a dwarf), but dwarves don't skip on details with their weapons. Each has a coyote built into the hilt. Because, you know. Werecoyote. He's very eager and is very nervous about whether or not she'll like it.

	Verity made art! She took a tarp and painted it in Julie Power's rainbow colors. It's very modern art. Verity's super into cool textures and colors and making them look cool. It should be just about big enough to cover Julie's wall for some color and something homey! (Reply to this) (Parent)

	Clara made CHRIS TRAEGER some essential oils in soothing scents like lavender, peppermint, etc. You know, one to help you sleep. One to wake you up. One for calming effect. I'm too lazy to look those up, but you know those little vials. He can wear them or he can keep them in the little bottles and just sniff them when he needs! (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	Cosima made ANNIE ODAIR a beach terrarium. The sand's not from the beach, but from the river bank, and the stoles aren't, you know sea shells, but there were a couple that she'd gotten from the river. So it's a tiny bit of the beach. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	Jan made KARA LYNN PALAMAS a really awesome shirt out of some of Bruce Banner's experimental unstable molecule fabric, which means that it's fire proof, resistant to tearing, and other powers. It can still tear, but you know, it doesn't rip NEARLY as easy so it should last a LONG TIME here. :D (Reply to this) (Parent)

	Anya made EMILY FITCH tiny handwarmers that can be warmed up near the fire in the Mess Hall so when she goes outside she can use them. And then she also made a tin candle that she painted herself in her Spider-Girl costume colors. LOL (Reply to this) (Parent)

	Chris had Penelope Featherington! He used his whole month's worth of chocolate rations to make her a batch of fudge. It was definitely low calorie and low fat and possibly dairy free but still delicious, I promise! Then he also included a pouch of fragrant herbs and spices (cinnamon, clove, etc) which can do double duty as tea and/or as potpourri. (Reply to this) (Parent)

Amadeus coded up a video game for NEVILLE LONGBOTTOM. It's a very stripped down version of "Plants vs. Zombies" made with pixel art. In addition to the normal plants and zombies, there's a Harry Potter mode can be toggled on and off. This mode replaces the plants with Harry Potter themed versions (mandrakes, whomping willows, etc.) and the zombies with baddies like Dementors and Death Eaters.

	Eleven made FRED BURKLE a machine that goes bing when it detects stuff. I'm not even sure what stuff is. Any kind of stuff. Someone think of some stuff. I've had a long month, and a long day. Katniss gave ALFRED THE EXECUTIONER ~~god I hope she knows he's called that because it would make this extra hilarious~~ some of the pressed/dried flowers she collected back in the spring/summer which she is pretty sure are some version of radioactive violets. She'd have given him fresh ones, but... winter. And she found some silver and green colored string to tie around the stems.

	Nathan made VERITY WILLIS a journal/scrapbook type thing (like this, except without the string/heart/accessories) out of whatever paper materials are available. He does decoupage, so it probably turned out kind of nice regardless of what he had to work with. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	Alfred had PEPPER POTTS! He managed to catch and chill a large salmon for her, and had to get creative with the spices and basically promised his soul for the equivalent of a lemon, but all in all it isn't terrible! The plate was garnished with a sprig of holly and an apology that he tried to do his best, and he hopes that she has a very excellent Christmas. (Reply to this) (Parent)

	Kara Danvers has JACOB FRYE for Secret Santa! She located and then recovered with nice fabric a very sharp top hat. She also used her eye beams (they're useful ok) to make a crude metal pin for it in the shape of a bird like his tattoo. Because she definitely stared at him while he was shirtless at fight club. Tali'Zorah had ANYA CORAZON, and is completely new to this whole Christmas gift-giving thing. She originally made Anya a vanity mirror set that folded from a really small cube and opened up, but after the whole Bloody Mary thing she adjusted it and turned it into a regular desk. It compacts down to a 1ft cube, and with the push of a button, it folds open to turn into a decent sized art/writing desk, it has built in chargers.

	Rachel Summers had Clara Oswald for Secret Santa! She used the kitchen facilities (familiar with them from previously having work assignment there) to make the closest approximation she could of bangers and mash.
