I don't usually linger. I just thought it was stupid that his friend is defending him when 1) she wasn't there, 2) he won't even talk to us about it himself. It's not her job to make things better. It's his, and she shouldn't let him off the hook like that. It's not fair to us, because it makes us look awful for being hurt by what happened. "Oh, he's better now, you should be nice!" ... Or maybe he can be the one to talk to us, you know? Maybe she should stay out of it if he doesn't want to think about the past. No one was even being mean to him in the first place.
