Darling, I think you misunderstand me. I mean -- we have a rhyme, at home. It goes "Something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue, and a sixpence in her shoe." They're items a bride wears on her wedding day. I'll have my dress, refashioned into something new, and I'll borrow a sash or other decoration, I'll find something blue, and I'll wear something new. The sixpence part isn't necessary here.
It's also something of a tradition that a bride's mother and sisters, or close friends if neither are available, help her to dress and to look her best. Those sort of traditions, not necessarily things said during the ceremony, that I wish to honor.
