Angie stepped back, surprised, and looked Edwin up and down. "Well, look at you. I almost didn't recognize you without your uniform."
And it was weird seeing him in a t-shirt, although he did have trousers on. But no shoes. Inexplicably, Angie found herself blushing lightly; she had only a handful of experience with men being half-dressed outside of her father and brothers. It simply hadn't occurred to her that he wouldn't be fully dressed.
Anyway. She straightened her shoulders, lifted her chin, and gave him her best, brightest smile. "I've been thinking, since our conversation on those little screens? And I'm worried about you, you know? I didn't think that being somewhere like this would even bother you, but I was wrong."
