"I what yes hello." It didn't come out like a sentence, all at once, but Cecil had apparently had a bit more of the moonshine than he'd realized because Chris was talking at a few more rpms than usual and all Cecil got at first was tea liver. He didn't know what a tea liver was, but nothing he'd encountered here was half as dangerous as the produce section of the Ralph's back home, so he wasn't worried.
"Sure, let's do that. And you can have some of this!" He gestured magnanimously at the jar of moonshine. Cecil was normally the sort to drink by himself in a dark living room while wallowing in his bad moods, but drinking with someone else could be fun. He needed some fun. He needed something to break up this weird existence - which had replaced the weird existence with which he was already familiar, rendering it normal in comparison, and yet still objectively, categorically, weird. Which was how he liked it.
"How are you settling in?" He slung a lanky arm over Chris' shoulders and steered him to the couch so they could sit.
