It was the simplest of answers to a question that Wanda had turmoiled over. Why the reason for that wall when they were the only two left? When it was just them and their powers were already flourishing: Pietro in his desperation to run, Wanda in her destruction of the multitude of children toys they presented her with. They passed every test they were presented with and still she barely saw her brother but for when they led him in and out of his cell, and for what she felt of him through the flowering network in her mind.
Would they have taken Pietro from her eventually, permanently? She didn't think so. How could they? Not when the pair of them had been so coveted, the only two to survive. But what did she know of their methods, other than that she hadn't liked them? (That, when they had had the opportunity to flee, they had?)
