Well we got sugar a few weeks ago, so I think that hot chocolate can be a thing that happens, Lara.

I don't know, but it's a by-product of corn, so if they're growing it, we can find a way to make it happen.

We can only hope.

This does mean we can make our own cocoa butter, and if the greenhouse inside the base can imitate its native South American habitat, the actual tree will grow year round. Here's hoping for that, too.

No, but you can brew up cacao beans like coffee. They actually have a fairly high caffeine content if you don't water it out, and it has more antioxidants than coffee.

I'm a well of trivia in general.

Really, if we wanted to be Mayan about it, we'd mash the beans into a paste and mix it with cold water. It wasn't actually served sweet until it made it over to Europe. I don't have any experience making it, I just know what we could potentially do with it. Sort of.
