What do we have for headaches that doesn't involve taking away from the stores?

LAW ENFORCEMENT:

We're not rounding anyone up, but the comments made on the network yesterday were hostile. I'd like to know what we're dealing with in case some kind of situation occurs.

I need someone to get with a Systems Administrator and see if they can trace where it came from. I need someone else to patrol common areas with open terminals and keep an eye out. And lastly, I need a few people to go into this meeting they're apparently having in 501 today.

This might just be people blowing smoke, but it may be the beginning of something that cabin fever really digs into.

RESCUE & RECOVERY VOLUNTEERS:

I need a few able-bodied people who aren't going to complain about the damn cold to come with me to look for this "giant flying lizard" we're hearing a lot about.

Some of you think it's a dragon, so that should tell you the kind of thing we're looking for. I'd prefer people with powers, but who aren't going to just go charging in themselves. This thing has taken out whole villages and left the Grounders in a lurch. If we can take it on, then we will. If not, we're coming back for reinforcements.

Does no one know what's happening with the frozen people? It sounds like magic to me, but nobody seems terribly alarmed. It's not nearly cold enough here to just freeze people in their step.

I've been asked to take over for Neville as second-in-command for our department. I'm not sure how many of you know about my history. I was the leader of what we called "The Farm" back home, which was the home of all of the animal Fables that couldn't afford or didn't want a human glamour. We were not only self sustaining, but we also provided the Fables in the city with all of their agricultural needs. I guess you could say I am uniquely qualified for the job, which was why I was asked. I'm taking 24 hours to decide though because I don't want to take over a department that doesn't want me at it's head. Did that once, wasn't fun. So, speak now with your objections or forever hold your peace and all that.

There's a palpable feeling of anger in the air from many of the people here. That missive, it reminded me of myself once.

They'll be speaking, holding a rally and I suggest its something that be listened to and their concerns be noted.

Their feelings are no less relevent than anyone elses here and for all we know they may well be correct.

For those of you who do not know me, I am Cullen Rutherford, and going forward, I will be your sergeant. I am not particular about matters of address; call me Sergeant, Cullen, or Rutherford as you like.

To provide some general information on myself: I have been here at Mount Weather since the month they call May here. Before that I was Commander of the Army of the Inquisition in Thedas, and prior to that, Knight-Captain of the Templars at Kirkwall. I have been in some form of military service since I was thirteen years old. My background is primarily in melee combat and battle strategy. My weapons of choice are sword and shield, I am reasonably competent with daggers and bows, and I've become a decent shot with a rifle since my arrival here.

I would appreciate it if each of you would respond here to give me some idea of your skills and aspirations, that I may determine how we can best work together to become an effective unit. Seeker, I know you and your skills already, of course, but the others would probably like an introduction.

I'm heading out soon to try and track down this dragon or whatever it turns out to be, but we'll meet when I get back. The top brass decided to restructure so here we are. You'll still be doing all the same things you have been in addition to working more as a team. Some of us know each other already, others only in passing. Let's take this opportunity to introduce ourselves and let the team know what skills you have.

I'll start us off. My name's Eugene Thompson but my friends all call my Flash. I was a Corporal in the armed services back home. I did two tours, one in southeast Asia, the other in Iraq. I was wounded in combat, later received the Medal of Honor, then was chosen to participate in a special government program. I'm currently bonded to an alien symbiote that does double duty as a super suit/body armor/whatever I need it to. I'm familiar with weapons and have a background with boxing and wrestling. I'm used to working on my own and leading small squads.

I come from a military background but I'm not going to make any of you stand on ceremony. You can call me Flash or Thompson or Sergeant. Anything as long as it's not "Sarge". Keep your head in the game, pull your weight, and our team will be in good shape.
