Can we just ponder for a moment about the absurdity of our lives? There is a woman who can travel through reflective surfaces to kill us. This is our actual reality.

If it weren't for my wounds being healed, I would have thought I was trading one hell for another.

It has been quite some time since I was given to hope, being thrown thus from summer to winter, from war to 'peace'. But in truth, I fear neither sun nor snow and am only too glad to breathe a free man.

Any tips for room decoration? It's getting close to Christmas, thought it'd only be right to have something on my side of the room. No Christmas trees though, I don't need flashbacks. Maybe we'll have a quiet Christmas this year

A holiday tradition I know I miss are the Christmas crackers.

The wind whips devilish through the tents at Bagram Airbase and at night, if it's quiet, and when there isn't enough heat to keep the patients warm, we seal up the seams beneath the door with our coats to huddle in the middle theatre together.
