Alison just didn't have time for all of this stuff with the glowing discs and the alternate realities and whatever was happening right now. Over the past couple of years she'd learned to tune out all the crazy stuff in order to focus on keeping her life running as smoothly as possible. Some people called it denial, but Alison called it compartmentalizing different parts of her life, and it was highly effective.
So despite what was going on, Alison was in the library long after Oscar and Gemma went to bed, poring through the library's pretty dismal selection of dramatic literature. The difficulty in choosing a production was that she didn't know how many people would actually come out to audition, and she kept on getting so many ideas that she continued to change her mind. She'd earmarked several plays, but — in her words — they weren't going to draw an audience unless it had music.
She sighed, opening up her notebook and going through all of her color-coded notes and plans on the project. "Okay, so. Regardless of whether we have our production picked, we need to do this tomorrow," she told Foggy. "We have the space set aside, we've booked the time in the gym to be solely for auditions, I put together the sign-up sheet and audition forms for their résumés, and I already set up a table in there for us when we go through casting ... am I missing anything? Am I crazy? I feel like I'm missing something. Other than a freaking show."
