Calm Before the Storm
"Oh, aren't you?" It was tempting to draw out his own stolen angel blade, make some quip comparing his and hers, but he was feeling edgy. He'd been confident of his own self-directed role in this scheme, but now things depended on other people, and other people were notoriously bad at screwing things up at the last instant. Hell, he was still alive as a demon because the Winchesters had screwed up their chance at "curing" him and slamming Hell shut. If it looked like putting Lucifer in the Cage would mean sacrificing Castiel, they (or at least Dean) wouldn't do it. Crowley would be gone as soon as possible.
"I'm the only one I can rely on, of course. And they don't always win. You know, I'm surprised you aren't on Lucifer's team. You've been panting after him longer than I've been alive. Have you finally realized where we stand with him?"
