I don't know. Most messing about with magic - true magic - seems to end badly for me. There are those who can handle it better, I think.
The last It was wilder than England, dangerous in a different way, but beautiful. You always felt more there, like you could do anything. The air was better. We lived by the sea, and we'd sail up and down the coast and visit the islands, or go riding or walking in the woods. On quiet days, you could hear the trees whispering and the brooks singing. The dryads would come out and dance on summer nights.
