The novelty of the laptop was still far from wearing off, especially now that Jay had acquired the proper equipment to hook his guitar up to his computer. Having recorded some guitar parts for a song he was working on, he now sat cross legged on his bed, headphones on, reviewing his efforts. His fingers swept across the touch pad at times, tweaking the sound, rewinding and playing parts back again. But his hand stopped when the base drum kicked in.
Wait a second. He didn't have a drum track set up yet.
His eyes lifted towards the closed door to his room, to see the sign held through by a familiar set of hands. Well, the only set of hands that could reach clear through a solid wood door. He tugged his headphones off, leaving them with his laptop as he scrambled off his bed. Seeing the "hell yeah" from where he'd sat had him smiling -- getting to read the small print as he reached the door turned that smile into a rather dopey grin.
He twisted the knob of his door to pull it open, bracing his stance a bit in preparation for the very real possibility of getting jumped upon.
