Susan's List
7:41 AM: Be in Arcadia Park, this list in hand.
8:30 AM: Arrive at work at the Ministry, via Apparition. 8:33 AM: Stop at testing centre on the way to my office to double check on scheduled tests for the day. 8:36 AM: Enter my office and start working on tallest pile of paperwork.
9:45 AM: Arrive at testing centre for first test. 9:47 AM: Watch as they either do it correctly, or splinch themselves. 9:48 AM: Either congratulate them or tell them they’ve failed. 9:49 AM: Fill out paperwork while waiting for the next applicant. 9:50 AM: Watch second test of the day. 9:51 AM: They either fail or pass.
10:01 AM: Return to office. Finish recent paperwork and put into proper sections, start on work for tomorrow, if possibly. 10:30 AM: Another test to either pass or fail. 10:35 AM: Paperwork. Yes, more. 10:45 AM: Fourth test of the morning. 10:50 AM: Another test.
11:00 AM: Test six, treating them appropriately depending on whether they pass or fail. 11:05 AM: Test seven. 11:10 AM: Take a small break from the paperwork and walk around, five minutes tops. 11:15 AM: Arrive back at centre for test eight. Pass/fail, etc. 11:20 AM: Be completely bored during test nine of the day. 11:25 AM: Return to office. Read reminders - including one to meet Leanne for lunch. 11:30 AM: Fill out paperwork. 11:45 AM: Take paperwork to proper destinations. 11:50 AM: Resist urge to doodle on paperwork during test ten. 12:00 PM: Return to office once more. Paperwork. 12:25 PM: Leave Ministry via Apparition to have lunch with Leanne at the Cheering Charm. *You do know who Leanne is, right? - note written in after she realises what's happenning.
1:30 PM: Arrive at Ministry. Realise there are no more tests to be taken today and sigh in relief. 1:32 PM: Realise work for the rest of the week has been completed, short of the test scheduled for tomorrow. Think of something to do. 1:35 PM: Go to superior’s office unannounced. Request promotion. Use examples including the fact that I’m entirely too competent. 1:40 PM: Be rejected. This time, I’ll quit. Tell them to find another person who’s as good as me. 1:45 PM: Leave the Ministry feeling oddly liberated. 1:50 PM: Hope like hell this works.
2:00 PM: Return home, spend the next few hours being confident, worried, and anxious, and accidentally clean the flat at some point.
