Brendon's set's going well. Not that John ever thought it wouldn't but this is picking up. Slick and sharp and feeding back from and to the audience, the kid's on fire. And tonight, the set's all Brendon's. Who knows what's going to get adjusted next time?
Satisfied that the audience is eating out of Brendon's hand, John returns to the bar for a refill, sliding his glass across to Nathan, and grinning to see Jensen there. He's always got the urge to call the man "Jenny" - but enough survival instinct to reign it in. "Jensen," he says, with a half smile. "Business or pleasure?"
It's a question that works on more than one level.
