While Aidan's addressing the room, Nathan glances over to Kate and Bren, making a small motion with his hand that he hopes they understand means to stay put. The swells are already making ready to leave, and he's fine with that. Last thing he needs to deal with are customers demanding free drinks to compensate them for their fright. His mind is racing, knowing he's got to get word to Scott - wherever he is - as soon as possible, and he makes eye contact with the head bouncer, silent message to check the back as soon as the cops leave sent and received.
He turns back when he hears his name, smiling wryly at the detective. "I expected as much, though I'm grateful for the whiskey rescue." He lowers his voice, no need for everyone to hear what he's gonna offer. "Next time you're in, drinks are on the house." He seriously doubts Scott will disapprove, but if he does, Nathan will cover the costs himself. Least he can do to repay Aidan for his help tonight.
