"Brilliant," Lily said brightly when the other Lily agreed to go along with them. She clasped her hands together as if all was right with the world, which was just silly because, well, nothing actually was. She expected her to join them at the edge of the field and follow along with them, and was left baffled by the girl's stationary position. She glanced at James and then back to the teenager before her, at which point she noticed one foot being held gingerly just a bit above the ground.
She knew better than to ask permission, because she was quite certain she'd be denied, and she wished Lily would permit James to carry her back, but that didn't seem very likely either. She'd do a much better job at mending her ankle with proper light and a potion to help it all sort itself out faster. But this and now was what she had - and she had been training to become a Healer - so she gave her wand a quick twirl and whispered a hurried incantation.
"Sorry! Sorry. I figured you wouldn't let me otherwise," she shot forth in a frenzy after she had the spell out. "That should do you until we get back to the Three Broomsticks. I'll get the ingredients for a proper potion and you won't feel any pain at all, I promise, but that should hold you until we get there and I can have a good look at it." She looked hesitantly once more at the ankle and then back at James. "D'you want to help her?" she asked before turning her voice to Lily "Would that be all right?"
