Emma winced quite obviously at the slight insult and didn't bother to retaliate. There wasn't a whole lot of fight left in her right then and there, and as much as she enjoyed their little banters she couldn't muster enough energy to really be bothered with one today. There was a small smirk on her own features, but only a very tiny one. She almost felt like 'accidentally' leaning against the tapestry and having a tragic fall down each of the stairs until she quite terribly died. That would have to be a thought and imagery she'd have to keep to herself. Emma looked Scorpius up and down. He didn't look too great either, really. It looked like he was the one who had been off crying somewhere earlier instead of her.
"Hay fever?" She asked quietly, off-handedly. Without waiting for an answer she took a peek behind the tapestry and disappeared easily behind it only to sit down on the staircase a few steps from the top.
