Rose was observing her professor as she spoke, noticing his small grimace when he wetted his lips. He asked her one of the most difficult questions she'd ever been asked...would she stay? For a moment, she deliberated this, wondering what she really would do. She had put off thinking about it, knowing that it only upset those around her, "I honestly don't know," she answered quietly. She briefly entertained the thought that maybe he could hear her heart breaking just as loudly as she could, but of course, even she didn't really hear it, though she certainly felt it, "I don't know what to choose. I'm not sure if I could go for forever without my parents, and what if they find a way and everyone else goes back? That would hurt them so much? I miss them...but I don't want to give up Rose, and I don't want to give up what I've done here. I don't want to lose myself again, to be the shell of a person that I was before. Coming here taught me how to live." Could she really give that up. She took a deep breath, steadying herself, "We can't be too hard on James, Professor. He's much like the person he got his name sake from, and unless I've been lied to my entire life, you were quite well aquainted with the older James. He really does mean well most of the time, but he can be a bit misguided. He really just wants to make people happy I think...to make them laugh." She gave him a small smile. Sometimes James really irritated her, but she still adored him all the same. He was as good as a brother to her. James had a good heart.
Rose smiled softly at the way Remus seemed to gain a whole new side when he talked about his wife. He was obviously very happy with her, "Sometimes stubbornness is appealing," Rose smiled knowingly. Scorpius was very stubborn as well, "Oh! Of course. I grew up around Teddy. He was always there, just like another cousin, and I dare say that he has taken care of me more than he really should have to sometimes. Believe it or not, he's the one that talked me out of registering with the Ministry, and in return, I tried to make him see how Tonks is probably feeling. I think it worked too, even if my ways were a bit unconventional. Teddy has always been there for me, he's been there for all of us..." Rose assured Remus. She smiled softly, thinking of all the memories she had with Teddy right there with her family.
