To be honest, Bucky had no idea what had completed him to open this particular door. He'd been on his way home that night after grabbing a late-night sandwich, trying not to let his mind wander too far (as it tended to do this late at night when he was alone), and he'd nearly passed it. A strange door next to the entrance of his apartment building. A door that had not been there before.
Bucky had been trained to spot details. It had been drilled into him first by the US Army when they were preparing him to become a sniper, and later as the Soldier. He could spot something off a mile away, and...that door had not been there before. For a second, he hesitated, reaching a gloved hand over and-
It was like a pull. One second he was in D.C., the next he was...not. Or so he assumed. He stumbled a bit then stared around the place, confused by what the hell had just happened and only aware of the whirring at his feet when he felt a stab. "Ah!" He cried out and almost kicked the thing, but it was already rushing away. His eyes cut to a woman- a blond woman. Sharon Carter.
For a second, Bucky tried to piece together what they were doing here. Did Sharon have anything to do with this? What the hell was this?
"What's going on?" His words sounded gruff and then, a holographic image appeared on a...screen? It started explaining things and Bucky felt the hairs on the back of his neck stand up. ".....This better not be a Fury, thing."
