Prom, Graduation, and SUMMER PLANNING
We mentioned this in chat, we wanted to make sure that everyone remembers. In deference to the recent tragedy, the school has pushed back prom, in hopes that all survivors of the tragedy will be able to attend both. Prom would have taken place 'tonight', but the second memorial service for victims will be taking place instead. Prom has been pushed back to next Friday, June 3, with a possibility of pushing it back even farther if needed. As it is, it will probably be a subdued affair, but the school wishes to keep things as normal as possible for the students and prom is an event that many will have been looking forward to all year. This announcement would have been made by Monday at the latest, sorry for the failure of advance warning, (though it was briefly covered in chat) but it likely wouldn't have been the most important thing on anyone's desktop this week anyway?

Graduation is currently expected to take place as scheduled, on June 11 for High School and June 18 (in separate ceremonies, obviously) for Middle School and College/Cadets.

There will be a minimum of 2 weeks after graduation where the school has nothing scheduled and there is no reason for characters to need to remain on campus unless they are among the few living there year round. At some point after that, we will be providing a summer session for those who can coax their characters to participate, as well as a boot camp for all Cadets, both current and incoming. We will be having a chat next Wednesday (time to be announced) to discuss whether we need to create some other opportunity to entice (or force) characters to return to the school during the summer break in order to facilitate play.
