Characters: Sirius Black and James Potter Date: May 3rd Time: Lunchtime Location: Number 12 Grimmauld Place Rating: PG-13
Although James was by no means a gourmet, he certainly knew how to feed himself. When both he and Sirius had trotted into the kitchen looking for food, he figured between the two of them they should be able to pull of BLTs with no trouble and enough to spare for Remus. There was a surreal aspect to living with them. Change of venue aside, it was just like the summers they'd spent together. Part of him was content to indulge in the fantasy, to just pretend that he wasn't spending his nights waiting for Lily to come to bed. During the day was fine, Remus and Sirius were completely diverting.
He tried to conceal the small smirk they inspired. James had set up in Sirius' old room, Remus was in Regulus' old room, and Sirius' cousin was in his parents' old room. James knew where Sirius was sleeping. He had made no mention of this to Sirius, hadn't asked any questions about it. Best to let them both be until one of them brought it up. James certainly didn't want to be the one to have to start that conversation.
He handed Sirius the slab of bacon before turning to start cutting tomatoes. Something had been lingering on his mind. He was aching to meet Harry, but was at a total loss for what to do, or how to got about it.
"So," he began. Quick and blunt, that was probably the way to go. "Does Harry know I'm back?"
