His foots stopped and he turned back to face her, about to flash her a grin and say something funny when bright red, nearly purple streaks across her forehead were suddenly visible. His lips parted a bit in surprise, his feet instantly closing the distance between them.
"Merlin what happened to you?" he demanded, one hand pulling her chin closer, the other brushing back her hair a bit more.
It didn't look all that bad, he didn't think. And then he saw her arms. What the hell? Were those fingerprints? Just what in Merlin's name was she getting up to? Ugh. If she'd been poking her nose around Bellatrix again- no, no, Bellatrix would have been much worse than this. This was, okay, so she was an Auror and that came with its fair share of bumps and bruises, and it looked like they were healing up okay, but honestly. This was ridiculous.
