"Yes," Amarissa responded with a slight nod, not missing the way that James seemed to cheer a bit at the idea.
She wondered then just exactly what they had been over at 12 for Christmas. She sincerely hoped that they hadn't been cooped up the entire time - with Sirius and James that always just seemed like a mixture for trouble - but then again, it was fairly likely that that was precisely what they had done for the day. She felt a slight pang of guilt, but then there was really nothing she could have done. Perhaps if she had stayed at Grimmauld Place, there could have been some extension of an invitation, but not for going home. She couldn't bring them into her mother's house, it endangered her family and it certainly endangered them. That situation could turn too troublesome too fast.
"I visited my family in Spain today." She continued, not giving too many details. But then, she was fairly sure that she had mentioned her mother to James before. That she could allow at least. "My mother." It was a tricky thing, getting into her family's story, but then, if he really cared that much, what had happened to her brother and sister had been splashed across the newspaper a couple of years ago. The attack had gained some notoriety since her brother had been a Quidditch player. She cleared her throat a bit.
"And then my grandparents are here. I visited them yesterday." It was another fact that was easy to reveal; all the paperwork to Number 13 was still listed in the Cross' name, not hers.
