Amarissa accepted his hand easily, fitting hers into his. His skin was just slightly chilled from the air outside, but his grip was easy and comfortable. She could instantly see how his mannerisms were slightly different from James' and from Sirius'. But then, he also appeared a bit older than that pair. She had never figured out how far in time Sirius and James had come back from each other, but it seemed rather close. She wondered if Remus' difference in maturity from the pair was natural, or if it was a consequence of some of the years he seemed to have on them.
"I am pleased to finally have the chance to meet you. I'm Amarissa Cross." Amarissa returned, taking a small step back after she had released his hand, allowing enough room for him to enter. "Tea sounds quite nice, please come inside. I'm guessing it's quite a bit warmer inside."
She tucked one of her hands into the pocket of the slightly over sized shirt that she was wearing, the other wrapped around the wood of the door as she waited for him to enter. The comment about Sirius and James made her lips quirk a bit higher.
"As for Sirius and James," she added after a moment. "They only manage to make a nuisance of themselves sometimes, though I'm sure their aim is much greater."
After all, Sirius' first introduction had been a rather apt depiction of himself, she felt. Managing to crash into her car and then fix it up. Her first meeting with James had perhaps been a bit relaxed, but the subsequent times he had come over and made mischief had more than made up for that.
